What does UV flatbed printer “pass” mean?

I believe that we will encounter a “pass” we often say in the daily operation of UV printer. How to understand the print pass in the parameters of UV printer?

What does it mean for UV printer with 2pass, 3pass, 4pass, 6pass?

In English, “pass” means “through”. Is it possible that the “pass” in the printing device also means “through”?  !  Here we can say, it isn’t.  In the printing industry, “pass” refers to the number of times that the picture forming needs to be printed (the number of times covered per unit area), the higher the number of pass, the slower the printing speed, the better the relative quality, otherwise on the contrary, usually in uv printers and other inkjet printing equipment, the more common is 6pass, 4pass printing.  For example, in a 4-pass image, each pixel needs to be divided into 4 times to cover up the printing process. Generally, adding the number of passes can improve the quality of the picture.  PASS stands for the number of trips for the print head to print a line of picture in good condition during printing. Ink-jet printing is a line printing method, 4PASS means 4 trips, and so on.

The number of ink-jets required to complete the print area is called a number of passes.  Different pass decimal points have different stack connections and show different colors.  PASS usually has controllable options on the relevant UV printer and printer control software, such as THE RIP printing software of UV printer. When printing, the user can print according to the relevant needs and use the PASS setting, which can make the UV printer print without any picture picture effect.  The number of passes is related to the printing accuracy, and the number of passes is different for different printing accuracy.

How to solve UV printer occur pass and line phenomenon?

The difference is between a PASS and a broken line. Without a clear understanding of the two concepts, there is no way to provide assistance.  When there is the PASS channel you said, please immediately stop printing, and then directly print the test strip. If it is broken, then look at the broken colors. If the broken colors are the color of the marginal part above the nozzle, you can think that the composition of the pump is not consistent with the nozzle, and you can adjust the orientation of the two according to the specific situation.  If it is in the middle of the nozzle several present this broken ink way, we should think about the pipeline, especially the ink bag is not used for too long, perhaps the ink bag with the nozzle plug is not tight enough, there is the scene of air leakage?  Or maybe your ink is of poor quality (some inks don’t flow well enough to break).
